Step 7: Record the highest temperature the water reached, as this temperature wasused as the final temperature of the water. Step 8: The copper sample was removed from the calorimeter, dried, and its massmeasured.

Using the equations listed above, we were able to determine the specificheat capacity Cp of Copper. Step 9: Using the percent error equation and the theoretical values of specific copper lab report the percent error for the copper sample tested and see how accurate wewere in our measurements during the lab.

Some possiblesources of error could have been in the thermometers not being accurately read, theheat lost to the air was not factored in, copper lab report, also possibly altering the results.
